BACKGROUND

Who are Nomadic Tours

Nomadic Tours is a family-led specialist tour operator offering small-group adventure tours across Morocco. Guided by expert local staff and built on responsible travel principles, their trips attract solo travellers, couples, families, and mixed groups looking for culturally immersive experiences — not tick-box tourism.

With nearly three decades of experience, Nomadic Tours operates across Morocco’s cities, mountains, deserts, and cultural landscapes. What stood out to us wasn’t just the quality of their itineraries, but the depth of local connection behind them. This is exactly the kind of operator Booked Wild exists to protect.

But their website told an older story. It no longer reflected the credibility, care, or confidence of the business behind it — and more importantly, it was quietly limiting their freedom to grow.

THE CHALLENGE

An older story the business had outgrown.

Nomadic Tours’ website had become tired, restrictive, and increasingly expensive in time and effort. It wasn’t just due a refresh — it was actively blocking a critical operational shift: moving to a new travel CRM and booking flow.

While the team could add tours and basic content, true ownership was missing. Creating new pages, adjusting layouts, or updating core site elements still required outside help. Every small change came with friction — the opposite of independence.

They also needed their new CRM (TAS Solutions) to integrate cleanly via clear “Book Now” links, a simple “Dates & Prices” experience, and a tailored enquiry flow — without the website feeling bolted together or confusing for users.

And sitting beneath it all was a very real fear: SEO. A previous rebuild had triggered a serious drop in Google visibility. Protecting existing rankings and traffic while modernising the site wasn’t optional — it was foundational. Visibility shouldn’t come at the cost of your future.

THE GOAL

How could BookedWild get them to their goals

Our objectives were clear and split into two connected outcomes:

  • Modernise the Nomadic Tours brand to reflect its heritage, credibility, and local expertise — while appealing to today’s experience-driven, mobile-first adventure traveller.

  • Build a fast, reliable, future-proof website with strong mobile performance, protected search visibility, and a seamless CRM integration that supports enquiries, bookings, and backend operations — without platform dependence.

IN SHORT: a site they could own, trust, and grow with.

WHAT WE DID FOR NOMADIC TOURS

Four phases to go from dated to owned.

  1. Research & strategy

We slowed down before speeding up. Digging into Nomadic Tours' business model, audience behaviour, competitive landscape, and SEO history gave us a strategy grounded in clarity, not assumptions.

Every design and technical decision that followed had a commercial reason behind it. No trends for trend's sake. No risky shortcuts.

  2. Brand evolution

We refined Nomadic Tours' existing logo to bring it forward without erasing its past. The goal wasn't reinvention — it was evolution.

By keeping recognisable elements like the colour palette and typography, we preserved trust and familiarity while introducing a cleaner, more contemporary feel. The result reflects where Nomadic Tours is now: established, confident, still deeply human.

  3. UX & IA

We restructured the site around how travellers actually make decisions. Tour pages were redesigned to answer the questions that matter, fast:

    • Where am I going?
    • What's included?
    • What does it cost?
    • When can I travel?

Clear page hierarchies, scannable layouts, and intuitive navigation cut friction — especially on mobile — while guiding users naturally towards enquiry and booking.

  4. Conversion

Rather than pushing sales, we removed hesitation. "Dates & Prices" became easy to find. CTAs were placed with intent and repeated naturally as users scrolled. Enquiry forms were simplified and aligned to how the Nomadic Tours team actually qualifies and handles leads.

THE RESULT: a calmer, clearer path from curiosity to commitment

THE RESULTS

More visibility. More clicks. No drop.

This rebuild had one non-negotiable: modernise the site without triggering another Google drop. We protected what was already working, then improved the foundations so Nomadic Tours could grow with confidence.

Balancing creativity with function to deliver a website that feels considered, grounded, and effortless to use — while working hard behind the scenes.

Built mobile-first, the new site prioritises performance, speed, and clarity on smaller screens — where the majority of users now browse and enquire.

The website was built on a modern, flexible CMS that allows the Nomadic Tours team to create new tours, pages, and content independently — without developer bottlenecks or hidden costs.

  1. More people are finding Nomadic Tours in Google (visibility)

    Search impressions: +4.8%

Nomadic Tours is showing up in search results more often — a strong sign the rebuild didn’t damage visibility, and that Google is continuing to trust the site.

  2. More people are clicking through (demand you can act on)

    Search clicks: +12%

More searchers are landing on the website from Google — meaning more opportunities for direct enquiries and bookings without paying for ads.

  3. The listing is pulling its weight (better “share of attention”)

    Search CTR: +7%

A higher click-through rate means the site is earning more clicks from the same visibility — usually a result of stronger page relevance, clearer titles/descriptions, and better alignment with what travellers are actually searching for.

Supporting SEO impact

To back up the early Google Search Console trends, SEMrush also recorded immediate gains in ranking strength:

  • Organic traffic+50%
  • Top 3 keyword rankings+175%
  • Total ranking keywords+11%
  • AI Overviews2 (previously 0)
  • Other SERP features1 (previously 0)

What does this mean for Nomadic Tours?

  • More visibility without the rebuild risk.

  • More clicks from travellers already searching for Morocco trips.

  • And a stronger platform for long-term direct demand — without handing margin and customer relationships to other platforms.

“We wanted a rebuild without the risk. Colin was clear, organised, and made the whole process feel safe — especially around SEO. The new site looks great, it’s much easier to manage, and the booking/enquiry flow now fits how we operate. It’s a proper upgrade, without the drama.”
